Lights Around Wheeling Event
November 22, 2019

The Wheeling municipal government is ushering in the holiday season with a festive event: Lights Around Wheeling. The Village President and Board of Trustees teamed up to bring this special occasion to the town of Wheeling on Sunday, November 24th, at Friendship Park.

Beginning at 4:30 PM, residents are invited to stop by for some hot cocoa, and a visit with Santa, before the official annual lighting ceremony commences. The night will be topped off with a breathtaking lighting, illuminating the trees and other holiday decorations across the park and the entire town.

The event is a joyful introduction to the holiday lights that will grace each street and park across the city for the rest of the season, bringing cheer to residents through the coming cold months.

If you miss the ceremony, or just want to plan a tour to see the full reach of the holiday decorations across town, the lights can be seen driving north up Milwaukee Avenue, at the Four Corners intersection of Milwaukee and Damen, and at Clock Park, Flag Park, Friendship Park, Lehmann Fountain, the Wheeling Police Department, Village Hall and Wheeling Park District.
